Mathematical Modeling and Simulation
Motivated from technical processes involving gas and plasma flows the goal is to provide mathematical tools - typically partial differential equations - for complex situations where standard models can not be used. Very often these new models also trigger the development of new, specialized numerical methods. The efficient implementation of the simulation algorithms is another part of our research.
